Dolphin Restaurant is an African Restaurant and bar in the heart of the Coal City. We have been serving our valued customers since more than 30 years now. Initially, we started our restaurant services under the name of Madam Volvo.

Our Restaurant is a perfect place for Lunch, Dinner or for having any kind of party. Our Principles are to combine the highest quality and authentic African food with excellent customer service at great value for money, all served in a comfortable ambience.

Dolphin Restaurant is our flagship restaurant and since opening its doors in 1979 has established a reputation for creative and innovative cuisine to the highest standards, offering a true gastronomic experience without pretence or pomposity, appealing to all food lovers and not a chosen few.

It is critically acclaimed both locally and nationally and hailed as the most exciting African restaurant in Enugu for decades by the most demanding critics.

Dolphin restaurant is a family owned and run establishment. Each member brings a wealth of skills to the restaurant, and more importantly are totally committed to ensuring a true fine dining experience.

Growing success in 2001 enabled the company to invest in the development of a purpose-built CPU (Central Production Unit) in Uwani. This enables the group to cater with ease to small and large scale outdoor catering events throughout Nigeria.

Moving onwards and in the continued direction of success that the chain has achieved since it began there are extensive plans to expand and progress the company.

Dolphin Restaurant aims to continue developing in the future and providing the customer with a memorable dining experience with menu prices always at an economic and acceptable level for valued customers.

Our Team

Mrs. Huldah Agbo, CEO

From humble beginning starting as "Mama Put" in the heart of Enugu city and through her share passion and determination her culinary vision has always been to serve the very best in authentic African food. With over 30 years experience, Huldah is today the proud chief executive of two restaurant employing over 50 staff.

Despite the rigors of over seeing her restaurant and whist still remaining as the Executive Cook, Huldah never misses an opportunity to search for new and exciting soup from all corners of the country, thus inspiring her beautifully spiced cuisine creating a luscious fusion of African dishes.

Huldah's charismatic and flamboyant personality and insatiable appetite for identifying the latest trends has meant that dolphin is continuously evolving to deliver the very best to its customers.

As popularity of Dolphin continue to go from strength to strength and whilst winning numerous coveted accolades along the way for her cuisine, Huldah's short term vision is to open another branch in Enugu and to take Dolphin Restaurant to cities across Nigeria.

Isaac Agbo, (Bsc Hons) - Managing Director

Isaac was appointed managing director on 23 June 1996. He has a bachelor's degree in Economics, with extensive record of experience gained through many years of hands on cooking and restaurant management. Isaac has proven expertise in assessing restaurant business opportunity in frontier areas building the necessary industry and government relationship and following it through to accomplish company goals and objectives.

Isaac is an associate member of the National Restaurant Association America.

He is an enthusiastic manager with drive, determination and a proven ability to ensure that a restaurant operates efficiently and profitably. Isaac has a track record of maximizing guest satisfaction and profitability whilst maintaining high standards of food and service and also present a positive and fashionable image of the business. He has also acquired Extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, it's working practices, recruitment, pay, conditions of employment and diversity issues.
